Diagnostic Analysis of an Observed Electrical Arcing in a 30 MVA, 69/13.8 kV Power Transformer in a BESS Facility
The transformer was confirmed to be in good condition, with no internal faults detected. The electrical arcing was traced from a loose mechanical connection at the bushing terminal, not an internal defect.
Through proper diagnostics and timely corrective action, the issue was safely resolved highlighting the importance of accurate assessment and proper installation in preventing major failures.
